packaging
We’re focused on reducing packaging waste and driving progress by using more recycled materials, improving waste collection rates, and lowering emissions.
We’re working toward using 35% to 40% recycled material in our primary packaging and increasing recycled plastic content to 30% to 35% globally.
Today, more than 95% of our primary consumer packaging is designed to be recyclable, and we continue refining the rest. We’re also advancing efforts to collect 70% to 75% of the bottles and cans we introduce each year.
Our approach includes glass and plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and refillable options—each of which can play a role in helping reduce packaging waste and emissions.
We prioritize two key areas:
Design
Ensuring packaging is
recyclable and increasing the use of recycled content.
Partner to Collect
Bilding
stronger collection systems, investing in refillable packaging where possible, and working with partners and policymakers to support local infrastructure.
In India, we work with NGO’s and local authorities to set up Material Recovery and Segregation Facilities that help strengthen recycling systems while enabling dignified livelihood opportunities for Safai Sathis. We’ve also introduced Reverse Vending Machines in major cities, making it easier to recycle PET bottles.
Each of these actions reflects our ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and measurable progress on packaging.
Our Impact
on Communities
Earlier, I collected waste on the streets and struggled with unstable income.
Thanks to SEWA and Anandana, I can now pay for rent, ration and even save for my children’s future.
